I think every woman has a little girl with little-girl issues with their father. Every girl! I'm sure of it.
Anyway, I guess that was a completely useless piece of journal. Have a lovely day, whoever has read this!
Well, tonight's Grey's Anatomy once again got me teary at the end. (Goodness, I love that show!) Meredith walked down a corridor and made eye contact with her father in a room, then quickly looked away, rushing away. He ran out of the room and looked expectantly at her with this sort of smile starting but as she walked away even faster without looking back, his smile started to fall in this terribly let down way and it made me so cry-ey! It doesn't help that the actor playing her father his this round, young looking face that gives to shy expressions really well, but he looked so expectant and happy, like he had figured something out but it was too late.
Oh dear. I'm very happy that I've got a father and a relationship with him that sucks a little less. I'm going to go hang out with him for a Saturday (whole day!) for my Christmas prezzie from him (he's paying). I think he was really surprised that I proposed this, as opposed to handing him a list of what I want him to buy. I'm verily excited, and I do miss him. He's turning 50 this year! That's so old! Not that I'll tell him.
Anyway, just thought I should mention. If I were more popular (hahahaha!) I'm sure I'd get a pile of responses with "Yes, I agree!" (or I'd better!)

I'm off to do a pile of Literature diagrams that I haven't yet done. I'm finding (when FINALLY doing my analysis) that I really like "Ulysses" by Alfred, Lord Tennyson. I read it out loud and it made me feel good. I didn't like "Dover Beach" so much - I used to think I was a pessimistic person, but rather, now, I might actually just be a thoroughly irritated person because I have so much hope for everyone and everything that when I'm disappointed, I get frustrated. But I still think we're going to get there, if we keep trying. Gosh darnit, I'll fight to make it so!
